Euphonium - Jonathan Munn

Jonathan Munn has become one of the youngest to play euphonium for Maidstone Citadel Band. Jonathan has always dreamed of playing euphonium after hearing Derick Kane play a solo. Jonathan was very fortunate to  have a lesson with Derick Kane and as a child, he was trained by Kevin Ashman.

Jonathan wants to carry his musical talent to joining HM Forces as a musician and would one day like to play for the International Staff Band of The Salvation Army.

Jonathan has come from a musical family. Jonathan’s Grandad, Robert Munn, played for the International Staff Band and was also Bandmaster of Norwich Citadel. His other grandad, Clifton Bevan, was Y.P. Band leader at Maidstone for more than 40 years. Jonathan would like to follow in both of his granddad’s footsteps.

Jonathan is also in a worship group called Total Surrender, which was setup by Jonathan and his friends Nathan Cripps and Alisdair Ashman.
