Flugel Horn - Major Lynn Gibbs
Lynn was privileged to have been raised in a good Christian family and her parents were Salvation Army Officers.
Her schooling years were varied and were spent around Scotland and other parts of the U K - once using a broad Scottish accent.
It was whilst her parents were the Officers at the Social Services Centre in Coventry, she first met her future husband.
It was at the Coventry City Corps Youth Club where I first set eyes on the person that I would eventually marry.
We spent much of time together in those days in conventional pastimes - on the terraces at Highfield Road watching football and I continue to be interested in the sport to this day!
We married at the Regent Hall in 1980 and very soon afterwards, I gave into God's will for my life; we were commissioned as Salvation Army Officers in 1984. We were trained in Servants of God training session.
Since commissioning, appointments have included; Sheffield Social Services Centre, Booth House Detox. Unit, the William Booth House Centre in Hull, Leeds Social Services Centre, Darlington Social Services Centre, DHQ - London South East, Maidstone Corps associate Officer.
We have two children, Toni, who is 23 and Daniel, who is 21. We also have a beautiful granddaughter called Amira who is nearly 3 years old.
Although we currently have separate appointments and mine is in the office of the Territorial Commander.
We leave ourselves in God's hands to reveal his will for our lives and for the future.
