Maidstone Band and Songsters visit St Nicholas’ church Pluckley.
This beautiful autumn evening saw the Band and Songsters under the leadership of Bandmaster Keith Thomas and Songster leader Kevin Ashman join with the congregation of St Nicholas’ once more for an evening of music, song worship and praise to God.
The lovely old stone church reverberated with the sound of music and song. As we joined our Anglican cousins in a special time of fellowship, the theme of the evening was “God’s promises” and as we were led in worship by the Reverend Canon Lindsay Hammond, the beautifully chosen words of Scripture and the prepared words of wisdom that linked everything together touched many hearts and minds.
This was the Band and Songsters third visit to this historic and beautiful church and it soon became evident that the strong friendships that had been previously formed were strengthened in a very special time of fellowship after the service, as we shared in the the the wonderful provision of tea and cakes so thoughtfully and lovingly made by the good folks of Pluckley.
We thank and praise God for this evening of shared fellowship, and we thank him also for the very special people we were privileged to be invited to come and share with.
